Chef Arnaud Bloquel of Lucie will welcome Chef Michael Hunter of Antler Restaurant, one of Toronto’s most acclaimed and Michelin recommended restaurants, renowned for his mastery in cooking all varieties of game meat. This dining event will highlight the best of Canada’s locally caught fish and wild game, blending Chef Hunter’s passion for sustainable and adventurous ingredients with Chef Bloquel’s refined, modern approach to French cuisine.
Together, these two exceptional chefs will present a thoughtfully crafted multi-course menu, showcasing the unique flavors of locally sourced ingredients with innovative techniques and artistic flair. Throughout the evening, guests will have the opportunity to engage with both chefs as they share their knowledge, stories, and inspirations behind each dish. Introducing Chef Hunter & Chef Bloquel
Chef Michael Hunter - a.k.a. The Hunter Chef
Hunter by name and trade, Michael is an outdoorsman, forager, hunter, professional chef and cookbook author. Born and raised on a horse farm in Southern Ontario Canada, Hunter’s dream was to own a restaurant that would combine his love for food with a passion and respect for local and wild ingredients. Michael's experience with the outdoors has shaped his culinary creativity, becoming Chef and Co-owner of Antler Kitchen and Bar in Toronto, Canada in 2015. Antler is strongly rooted in regional food culture, emphasizing pure, fresh and seasonal ingredients. It embodies local flavour and spirit, offering contemporary dishes with an emphasis on game meat, sustainably caught wild fish, and wild foraged vegetables and fruit along with locally farmed ingredients that are always raised with passion and care. Antler has received countless accolades locally and nationally, including recognition by Michelin. Michael has appeared on the Joe Rogan podcast as well as the Meat Eater Podcast and has cooked at culinary festivals around the world including the United States, United Arab Emirates, Australia, Russia,Saudi Arabia and Brazil.
Chef Arnaud Bloquel, has been profoundly influenced by his culturally diverse family and French heritage. At 16, he entered a hotel school in Guadeloupe and later refined his culinary skills in France under prominent Michelin-star Chefs. After years in Paris working in celebrated restaurants, he returned to Guadeloupe, opened l'Orchidea in 2015, and won the title of Best Master Restaurateur in 2018. His restaurant earned top honours in the Caribbean. Recently, he competed in the "Meilleur Ouvrier de France" and is now at the helm of Restaurant Lucie's kitchen, Toronto’s premier fine French restaurant.
Style of the Event:
This is a one-night-only, multi-course menu and chef experience is offered at a reservation time of your choice. Each dish will be paired with carefully crafted cocktails or curated wines, enhancing the flavours and making the evening truly exceptional. Non-alc pairings are available.
Price & Dietaries:
Complimentary glass of Mumm Cordon Rouge Champagne on arrival.
Multi-course dinner with beverage pairings (alc and non-alc).
Tickets are $285 + tax per person. Beverage pairings and gratuity are included.
This is a 19+ experience.
