Due to the lodge's self-sufficiency in water, sewer and power generation, the cabins are free from modern amenities such as WiFi, telephones, televisions and refrigerators. This ensures a true disconnect from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. While the cabins lack kitchens and cooking facilities to avoid attracting wildlife, guests can enjoy delightful meals in the lodge dining room and lounge, or opt for hiker's lunches and take-out dining in the privacy of their cabin.

The Dining Room at Storm Mountain Lodge offers a culinary experience rooted in the best of Canadian cuisine. Guests can savour dishes prepared with a commitment to organic ingredients, featuring naturally raised Alberta meats and wild fish. The culinary team takes pride in crafting all breads, desserts and pastries daily on site, ensuring freshness and quality. Complementing the exquisite menu is a Wine List showcasing exclusively Canadian vintages from the renowned Okanagan Valley in British Columbia. The dining ambiance is one of rustic elegance, perfect for indulging in delicious food while enjoying the cozy, intimate setting of the lodge. Please note that reservations are required.

The Lounge offers a warm and inviting atmosphere, perfect for relaxation and reflection. Guests can opt for lighter fare from the lounge menu while basking in the cozy glow of a roaring fire. Whether it’s for a light dinner, apres ski or after-dinner drinks, the lounge is an ideal spot to unwind and soak in the history and natural beauty of the surroundings.

The Deli offers coffee and takeaway sandwiches in the summer months, perfect to take on one of the many hikes in the area.

This area boasts a ton of great restaurants that are worth the drive, and Storm Mountain Lodge’s central location makes it a great jump-off point to explore these culinary destinations. We recommend making the drive to Field, BC (40 min) to check out Truffle Pigs, or stopping in at the Outpost Pub in Lake Louise (20 min) for their Half Chicken Dinner, only available on Sundays. Head into Banff (25 min) for Italian food at LUPO, No. 6 on Canada’s 100 Best New Restaurants list in 2023. If you’re visiting in the summer, be sure to grab a pre-dinner drink at Rundle Patio at the Fairmont Banff Springs, selected as the best patio winner by Canada’s 100 Best in 2024.
