Monday July 7th - Wines of the Mediterranean Islands
Time: 6:30pm
Location: 1247 Dundas West, Grape Witches Private Salon
The wines of the Islands - Azores, Canaries, Sicily, Santorini and more, are all unique yet share some similarities. Isolated and culturally unique in their farming. Raised on similar soil variations of volcanic to sand, all in the middle of salty seas, from the cold Atlantic to the heat of the Mediterranean Basin. Red and White wines are shaped by an island identity influenced by the ages. Come taste and find out.
Tuesday July 22nd - The Renaissance of Atlantic Island Wines
Time: 6:30pm
Location: 1247 Dundas West, Grape Witches Private Salon
The Azores to the Canaries with Madeira in the middle offer up distinct wines both red and white. Iberian cultures and the intensity of the Atlantic environment colliding. These regions have been experiencing a renaissance in wine as the world looks to brighter, fresher and more saline wines.
Tuesday July 29th - Sicily in Focus
Time: 6:30pm
Location: 1247 Dundas West, Grape Witches Private Salon
From the vineyard heights of Mount Etna to the windy plains of Vittoria, the Island sits at the intersection of so many cultures. Influenced by all from the Levant, to North Africa to Southern Europe. With terroir as diverse as the wines we can find here. Sicily is a United Nations of flavours.
Tuesday August 5th - Deeper Shades of Orange
Time: 6:30pm
Location: 1247 Dundas West, Grape Witches Private Salon
Building on the Spring’s Orange Wine session, let’s get a little deeper. Move over the light, floral, pretty wines, let’s dig into this incredibly versatile style. Christopher’s proposing the mosh pit of orange, the 5am peak time after-hours of psychedelic flavour - so to speak.
