Meet the Chefs

Chef Arnaud Bloqel - Restaurant Lucie
Born in Guadeloupe, Chef Arnaud Bloquel's culinary journey blends rich cultural influences with the precision of Michelin-starred French kitchens. After gaining acclaim for his restaurant L'Orchidea in the Caribbean, Chef Bloquel brought his expertise to Toronto, where he now leads the kitchen at Restaurant Lucie.
His contemporary approach to French cuisine, paired with a focus on seasonal ingredients and creative techniques, has redefined Toronto's fine dining scene. With a commitment to innovation and excellence, Chef Bloquel continues to elevate the city’s culinary landscape, crafting dishes that merge tradition with modern flair.

Chef Steven Molnar - Quetzal
Steven Molnar is a Toronto-based chef whose culinary journey began at 17, driven by a deep belief in food’s power to bring joy and spark connection. He trained at George Brown College and later at the Institut Paul Bocuse in Lyon, France, where he honed classical techniques and developed a reverence for fine ingredients and craftsmanship.
Molnar gained experience at some of Canada’s most respected kitchens, including Toqué in Montreal and Nota Bene in Toronto, before expanding his culinary range with Spanish cuisine at Bar Isabel and Bar Raval. In 2019, he became Executive Chef and Partner at Quetzal, where he brings the vibrant, regional traditions of Mexican cuisine to life through open-fire cooking. Under his leadership, Quetzal earned and retains a Michelin Star, with Molnar continuing to blend tradition and innovation in every dish.
